Here's Suzi and Nicola sharing from Psalm 100 at our all age service as we took a break from our year in Acts. Here’s Tim speaking from Revelation 4 as we took a pause from our year in Acts and set aside one Sunday to simply celebrate. There were some beautiful conversations around the room as we shared what we love most about God, before Tim encouraged us with what happens when we choose to worship and say yes to the living God. He challenged us to boldly approach God’s throne, to a God who is sovereign, holy, faithful and good. How He is our safest place and our firm foundation. How the whole universe revolves around Him and how we need to reorientate our lives to do likewise. As we make Him our audience of one, our hearts, minds and lives get clear of all the other narratives and expectations that dominate. And as we welcome Christ, who stands at the door and knocks, He fills us, renew us, heals us, shapes us and changes us. Here's Tim sharing from Acts 11:19-30 and how God is the great encourager; how He brings life, how He takes the embers of who we are and fans us into flame, and how He calls us to burn brightly for Him the world. God longs to use us in every season of our lives and He loves to reveal His plans to us. Is God calling you out of hiding? Is He calling you onwards? Here's Tim sharing from Acts 9:32 - 11:16 and how God reveals Himself, brings new life and leads us to new things, people and places. We apologise for the background noise on this recording. We hope to have fixed the problem by next Sunday. We explored the theme of 'God's Mission' during our all age service. Rosemary interviewed Nicola to help us find out more about what God's mission is for us personally as well as how we help to support the mission going on through our wider church partnerships. We apologise for the audio issues on this stream. We are currently integrating a new system. Here's John sharing from Acts 9 and helping us to think about who Jesus is, how He speaks to us and what we should do about it. Acts 8 is a dramatic account of how the early church expands beyond Jerusalem. What will help us stand for Christ and play our part in God's purposes? James shares on how we first need to find our rest in God and how this principle played out in Philip's life and how Simon the Sorcerer missed out. Here's Tim sharing from Acts 2 as we celebrated Pentecost. Here's Suzi sharing on the Parable of the Lost Sheep from Luke 15 and Matthew 18 as we continue our series in 'The Parables of Jesus' across our All Age Services in 2023. We apologise that there is no video recording as we did not have enough volunteers to run the livestream this Sunday. We’re spending 2023 in the book of Acts. It’s an amazing account of the birth of the church and throughout the text there are amazing details. Today we looked at Stephen. A few weeks ago in Chapter 5 we looked at how the Christian life has significant up and downs, it’s not a story of endless comfort and pleasure, without challenges and difficulty. Stephen’s life encapsulates that, chosen as someone ‘full of the Spirit’ he eventually tragically pays for his faith in Christ, with his life, stoned to death. Today, we’re delighted that Rev Gavin Foster is joining us to share about Stephen’s life. Gavin is a vicar on the South coast, was Bishop’s Chaplain in Winchester and currently works for the Diocesan Registry in Salisbury, he also led our time away in the Gower last year. As we discover more together of what God has to say to us today, I wonder how important is your faith in Christ? |
