Rev Timothy Gleghorn - Newly Appointed Rector
We are delighted to announce that the Rev Tim Gleghorn has now joined us at St Swithin's as our new Rector
Tim, his wife Jo and their two children Joshua and Hannah came to us from Christ Church Winchester, where as Assistant Curate Tim led the church through an 18 month vacancy.
Domenica Oatley - Youth and Community Worker
Domi came to St Swithin’s in 2008 as a placement student for her course with the Centre for Youth Ministry in Bristol, and has been with us ever since. She now works as our Youth and Community Worker: she heads up our engagement with the Snow Hill estate based at the Gateway Centre, and leads our growing group of teenagers here at the church.
Domi is married to Dean, has 4 children, 2 step children and 3 grandchildren! She is an ex-champion kick-boxer and still enjoys keeping fit and going surfing whenever she gets the chance.
Sandy is the veteran of the staff team. She started at St Swithin’s in 1997, working out of an office in the basement of the former rectory, and she continues today to offer wonderful admin support and care with us.
Sandy has 3 adult children, and 2 step children. She enjoys her lovely garden, her cat and hosting her wonderful homegroup each week.
Janet Cornish - Operations Manager
Janet spent the first fourteen years of her working life as a teacher in Exeter prior to joining the community at Lee Abbey in North Devon. She then moved to Surrey working in a variety of settings including five years as a Funeral Arranger.
In 2009 she moved back towards the west country (where she feels most at home) when she became Deputy Warden of a christian Retreat House in Wiltshire. She joined the team at St Swithin's in July 2013
In her spare time, Janet enjoys meeting up with friends and family, inflicting her love of children's books on her many nieces, nephews and godchildren and walking as much of the countryside as her stamina lets her!
Mike McAllister - Cafe Manager
Mike has been running the cafe at St Swithin's since May 2013. He stumbled into catering from a retailing background and felt that this was what he always wanted to do. He really loves and enjoys serving people.
He has been married since 1980 and has one lovely and lively daughter.
Mike keeps himself busy by playing badminton and squash weekly. He sings in a gospel choir and chairs a local branch of the Kidney Patient's Association as well as regularly competing in the British Transplant Games where he wins medals in the badminton doubles!
