St Swithin’s is situated on the A4 The Paragon (Roman Road), at the meeting point with Walcot Street (A3039). Traffic can get very congested coming into central Bath, especially on the A4 London Road and you may need to allow extra time to negotiate traffic.
Parking on Sundays
There is free parking on Sundays in some of the roads near the church: on single yellow lines on Walcot Street, The Paragon and Lansdown Road; and in parking bays on Guinea Lane and London Road. There are also short stay car parks at the Cattle Market and Podium Shopping Centre in Walcot Street, less than 10 minutes walk from the church.
Parking midweek or Saturdays
There is very limited free parking near the church, on the A4 London Road (restricted to one hour). There are parking meters on Walcot Street and Guinea Lane, and short stay car parks at the Cattle Market and Podium Shopping Centre on Walcot Street, less than 10 minutes walk from the church.
We have disabled access to both the main church and the crypt. There is a stair lift connecting the church and crypt for any who may struggle with the stairs.
